Whilst working at Witt Consulting, a civil and geotechnical engineering consultancy, where I have been the Office Manager since March 2017, I occasionally undertake design work in addition to my normal duties. When I started, the company had no real brand strategy. Their logo was stuck on an old version of inDesign and the rendering of the logo was varied in different applications. I recreated the logo in a current version of Adobe Illustrator off a low quality jpeg file, matching and then altering the colour and fonts, creating a cleaner and more concise look. From there I created useable files for our outgoing correspondences such as our letterhead, reports and email signatures, thereby standardising the use of the logo across all applications.
In the past 2 years I have been working to broaden the recognition of the brand, for example making business cards, branded stickers for hard hats and vehicles, printing the logo and website URL on PPE clothing, and branded rulers and umbrellas.
As an industry partner with the UNSW Civil Engineering department, Witt Consulting attend the annual careers day expos for students. In preparation for this I coordinated an onsite photoshoot and designed a pull up banner, organising the printing and reprinting of business cards, as well as designing a competition for the students who visited the booth.
